Eon Diary ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Eon Diary application.
2. Data Ownership and Storage
Eon Diary is designed with absolute privacy in mind. We do not run any middleman servers and we do not store, host, or have access to any of your diary entries, media, or personal data. All diary content is stored exclusively on your own Google Drive and Google Sheets accounts.
3. Google Workspace APIs
Eon Diary utilizes Google Workspace APIs to provide its core functionality. Specifically:
- Google Drive: Your media files (images, videos, audio recordings, sketches) are uploaded directly to a hidden folder in your personal Google Drive.
- Google Sheets: Your text entries, tags, and timestamps are stored securely in a private Google Sheet on your account.
Our app's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Information We Collect
When you choose to sign in with Google to enable cloud sync, Eon Diary collects the following data:
4.1. Email Address (Personal Info)
Your Google account email address is collected when you sign in via Google OAuth. This information is used for:
- App functionality: To authenticate your identity and connect to the correct Google Drive and Google Sheets for cloud sync and backup of your diary entries.
- Account management: To identify your account session locally on your device so the app can automatically reconnect to your Google services between sessions.
Your email address is stored locally on your device only and is transmitted to Google's authentication servers as part of the standard OAuth sign-in flow. We do not transmit your email address to any servers we own or operate, and we do not share it with any third parties.
4.2. Data Not Collected
Eon Diary does not collect:
- Your name, phone number, or physical address
- Location data
- Financial or payment information
- Health or fitness data
- Browsing history or search history
- Contact lists
- Any analytics, advertising, or tracking identifiers
5. Data Sharing
We do not share any of your personal data with third parties. Your email address and diary content are never sold, rented, leased, or disclosed to advertisers, data brokers, or any other external entities. The only data transmission that occurs is directly between your device and Google's servers for authentication and cloud sync.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your email address is stored locally on your device for the duration of your active session. You can delete your data at any time through any of the following methods:
- Sign out: Tap the sign-out option within Eon Diary to clear your email and authentication tokens from the device.
- Clear app data: Go to your device's Settings → Apps → Eon Diary → Clear Data to remove all locally stored information, including your email address.
- Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
- Google Drive: Diary entries stored in your Google Drive can be deleted at any time directly from your Google Drive account, as you have full ownership and control.

7. Children's Privacy
Eon Diary is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
